The Brooklyn Hospital Center

Advancing Healthcare Security and Digital Agility at a Critical Time

I was fortunate to lead the development and execution of this strategic customer story campaign for Cisco, working in close partnership with The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s leadership team, including SVP Lenny H. Singletary, CIO Dr. Sam Amirfar, and CTO James Safanov—who was honored as one of Industry Era’s 10 Best CTOs of 2020.

The campaign showcased how Cisco Managed Detection and Response provided the hospital with full visibility across 30,000 endpoints, enabling their IT team to focus on improving clinical care while enhancing cybersecurity.

One of the highlights was supporting Dr. Amirfar’s invitation to co-host a CIO roundtable at Cisco Live, where global CIOs shared insights on driving digital agility in a cloud-first world.

This project deepened my passion for telling meaningful customer stories that highlight technology’s real impact on people and organizations.

Voice of the CIO & CTO

I sleep better at night knowing that Cisco CX experts are monitoring our systems and will quickly shut down any threats before they become a problem.
— Dr. Sam Amirfar, CIO, The Brooklyn Hospital Center
We have close to 30,000 different IP addresses and endpoints. ... Before, it was a constant struggle to keep up. Now, we have greater visibility … and can respond to attacks faster than ever before.
— James Safonov, CTO, The Brooklyn Hospital Center
